Split one JPG, PNG or WebP into a regular grid of rows and columns. Every source pixel is assigned to a tile, which you can download separately or collect in one ZIP.
Build an exact tile grid
- Use a preset or set custom row and column counts for up to 36 rectangular tiles.
- Keep the complete source area even when its width or height does not divide evenly.
- Download a single row-column tile or package all generated images in a ZIP.
How it works
- Choose one JPG, PNG or WebP image.
- Set 1–6 rows and 1–6 columns, keeping the total at 36 tiles or fewer.
- Split the image, then download selected tiles or the complete ZIP.
How uneven dimensions are divided
Grid boundaries are rounded at each row and column. When dimensions are not evenly divisible, adjacent tiles may differ by one pixel while together covering the full image.
Tiles retain the supported source format. This is geometric grid splitting: it does not detect objects, remove backgrounds or create editable layers.

Tiles are generated in this browser
Grid cutting and ZIP creation happen locally. The source image and generated tiles are not sent to ImageNexo.
Frequently asked questions
How many image tiles can I create?
Up to 36. Rows and columns can each range from 1 to 6, and their product cannot exceed 36.
What if the image cannot be divided into equal pixels?
Some tiles may be one pixel wider or taller. The boundaries are allocated so the complete source area is still included.
Can I download every tile at once?
Yes. Download them as one ZIP, or save individual row-column files separately.
Does the splitter find objects inside a photo?
No. It divides by a regular row-and-column grid and does not perform subject detection.
Which format do the tiles use?
The tool retains the supported JPG, PNG or WebP source format when encoding each tile.
