What metadata removal changes
For JPG, PNG and WebP, the tool removes supported metadata container blocks without recompressing the image pixels, then verifies that no removable fields remain.
The source stays untouched. A clean copy can lose camera, date, author, copyright, software and location information that you may want to retain elsewhere.
