Extract a compact palette of 3, 5 or 8 colors that visually dominate a JPG, PNG or WebP. Copy each representative result as HEX or RGB for a design system, presentation or visual reference.
A palette from the whole image
- Summarize colors that recur across the image instead of sampling one manually chosen pixel.
- Select a small three-color set or expand the result to five or eight swatches.
- Copy both HEX and RGB values directly from each extracted swatch.
How it works
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
- Select 3, 5 or 8 colors and review the generated swatches.
- Copy the HEX or RGB values you need.
Representative colors, not every pixel value
The extractor samples pixels, groups nearby colors and filters them by perceptual distance. It aims for a useful spread of dominant colors rather than a mathematically exhaustive list.
Gradients, photographs and near-monochrome sources may produce close-looking swatches. Changing the requested count selects from the same analyzed eight-color result.

Color analysis stays local
Pixel sampling and palette calculation run on your device. Neither the image nor its extracted color values are sent to ImageNexo.
Frequently asked questions
How does the tool find dominant colors?
It samples the image, groups nearby pixel colors and filters the groups to keep a varied representative palette.
Can I extract exactly 3, 5 or 8 colors?
Yes. Choose one of those palette sizes after the image has been analyzed.
Why do some swatches look similar?
Images with gradients or a narrow color range can contain several predominant shades that are perceptually close.
How is this different from the Image Color Picker?
Palette extraction summarizes the whole image. Color Picker reads the one pixel position you click.
Can I copy the palette as HEX and RGB?
Yes. Every displayed swatch has controls for both values.
